- UCARE Caregiver Guide Classes. Every other Thursday, 11:30am - 12:30pm.Caregiver guide classes provide hands-on training on a range of topics, including "Caring for the Caregiver", "Assistive Technology", "Alzheimer's and Dementia", "Home Safety", "Mental Illness", "Healthy Eating", and more. - "Surviving to Thriving" - Every Tuesday, 10:00 am - An ongoing support group for cancer patients and their loved ones with a focus on improving coping skills, emotional healing, and moving from surviving to thriving. - "Look Good, Feel Better", Co-Sponsored with the American Cancer Society - This is a class for women. The focus is to learn a variety of tools that will help you look good and ultimately feel better. Come learn about wigs, hats and make-up along with how to tie scarves. - "Relax, Refresh, & Heal", Co-Sponsored with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society - Every Wednesday at 4:00 pm - This is the first of a series that begins the first Wednesday of each month. This is a meditation and visualization class that runs 5 weeks. Learn and practice the skills of stress management and relaxation to improve your overall sense of wellness and increase coping skills.
